First we want to THANK YOU all for your continued support over the years as we’ve tried to provide quality and uplifting events for our EXTRA MILD SAUCE family. Your positive vibes and smiles are the fuel that keeps us all moving together. We want you to know that we greatly appreciate it and always look forward to dancing with you.
That said, we are back with another episode of music to move your body. Make sure you wear comfortable shoes because with this lineup it’s going to be difficult to stop dancing.

First in the front URBAN LOUNGE spinning the best classic Hip/Hop, R&B, Reggae and rare grooves is no stranger to the EXTRA MILD SAUCE decks. Even though he has a demanding schedule as an actor starring on the hit TNT show Southland, he’s always made time to share his love of soul music with us at several of our events including SOULNIC. So, make sure you’re ready to move to the sounds of your WINE KANDY resident hailing from Brooklyn, NY TAILWIND TURNER.
Helping him to keep the URBAN LOUNGE jumping will be a rare groove party music aficionado and Baltimore native. She has made a name for herself as a versatile DJ, capable of playing favorite underground venues such as Funkmosphere, and Grand Star Jazz Lounge, and high profile venues such as the Standard Hollywood and currently at Bar Marmont. We are proud to welcome to the EMS turntables, LADY MONIX.
And joining our EXTRA MILD SAUCE resident DERRICK WIZE this month in the SOUND BOX is a staple of the Los Angeles house music community. His gospel, jazz and Latin percussion style of house has enabled him to hold down long term residencies at several dance music havens around the city. Pioneer of the long running DDHC and rotating resident of West Coast Soul, his crowd-moving skill is widely known amongst house music fans. With the release of Lift Me Higher and Believe on the LA underground label BOUNCE MUZIK, his impact reaches the dance floor not just from the decks but from the studio as well. You’ve heard him at SOULNIC. So family please help us in welcoming again to the decks TONY POWELL.
Please remember this event is our effort to raise funds for SOULNIC, our annual summertime dance music festival at Griffith Park that’s free and open to the general public. For more info about this amazing summertime festival coming June 22nd visit:
